Our group met up today and had a simply lovely afternoon. First, we gathered together for lunch out in the conservatory at Dobbies, our local garden centre. Then, we were released into the wild.
Working our way through the store we found lots to inspire us. Bags, purses, aprons and lots of small gift ideas that we could try making. There was lots of talk about what we would like to try making and what sort of community projects we could seek out when we return to our sessions.
I don’t know who invented ‘window shopping’ but seriously I really don’t see the point. With purses at the ready it was time to get down to business.
We came away with some plants and some licorice. I know, I know, it was a garden centre, but honestly if the licorice is in your size and its on sale then you were meant to have it. There was talk of some lovely gluten free, dairy free, speciality bread bought at the produce shop on site. We also purchased several packs of seeds for various vegetables, scones, strimmer cord and an outdoor wind chime.
The only thing left to do now, is to find something to do next Tuesday – Watch this space for further adventures.
